The Frequency Conspiracy: Have We Been Hijacked?
Episode 3 - Science Meets Soul, Chakra Codes and the Ancient Wisdom That Just Might Hold the Key to Everything.
What if we’ve been subconsciously tuning ourselves to the wrong frequency all along?
In the last two episodes, my quest led me to find the ancient tones.
But this time, we go deeper.
Some call it science.
Some call it conspiracy.
I call it a coffee-fuelled quest for resonance, truth, and restoration.
Welcome to my deep dive into frequencies, modern myths and personal experiments all to answer this question.
Welcome to The Frequency Conspiracy - Episode 3.
The Solfeggio revival combined with it’s modern day expansion revealed an intriguing pattern that caught the attention of new age healers, binaural beat engineers, and vibrational medicine practitioners.
Enter: Dr. Leonard Horowitz (yes, the former dentist) and Jonathan Goldman.
These sonic explorers began experimenting with how affectively the Solfeggio tones could be used for healing. What began as fascination soon evolved into a deeper sense that each Solfeggio tone seemed to resonate with a specific energy centre. Through vocal tones and binaural layers (and a healthy dose of curiosity) they noticed certain frequency fields appeared to stimulate the chakras.
This marked the beginning of an experimental bridge between science and soul.
It gave rise to a new vibrational healing model, where Solfeggio frequencies became chakra activators, used in meditation, music, and sound therapy around the world.
The Solfeggio frequencies and Chakra system originate from two very different traditions. Solfeggio traces back to medieval Europe, and Chakras derive from ancient Indian philosophy.
The connection between them isn’t a scientific or historic one. It’s one of resonance and vibrational intuition. It’s an embodied energetic experience, and one I think is well worth exploring.
They both operate on the fundamental truth that everything vibrates and everything is energy. These vibrational principles are mapped through frequency, emotion and intention, and when working together enhance vibrational coherence.

The Frequency They Forgot to Tell You About
When I first saw this Solfeggio frequency list, my immediate thought was
‘Wait a minute, you’ve missed 432 Hz’.
You might share this thought or may even think,
‘What the hell is 432 Hz?!’
Never fear gentle reader, let me explain.
After all, it is arguably the most famous of all the known frequencies,
which begs the questions…
Why is it not on the list?
Following my curiosity led me to a fascinating find.
One Tone To Rule Them All
432 Hz isn’t exactly a Solfeggio frequency, therefore is not included as part of the original (or extended) list, however, it is deeply important.
In fact it might be the most important of all the frequencies.
It’s widely considered to be the natural resonant frequency of the Earth.
Here's why:
(Just a pre-warning, this is FASCINATING, but it’s a long explanation down a mathematical, science-y, and somewhat music nerdy path. If you are wanting a snack/coffee break, now would be the time and I will try and explain my findings as best I can).
If you have been fortunate enough to see an orchestra play live,
you will been witness to the tuning ritual.
(It’s actually one of my favourite parts of the live orchestra experience).
Concert A: The Quiet Frequency Controlling All Your Music
In every orchestra, a ritual must happen before the music begins. The oboe plays a single solo held note. This note is known as A4 or concert A. This is the A note above middle C on the piano. This note (A4) is the tuning reference for every other instrument to ensure they will play in perfect harmony with each other.
For the music nerds out there, this is fascinating, but for the non-music it’s totally okay if you’re eyes just glazed over.
You’re curser might even be hovering over the ‘get me off this blog’ button.
But don’t go anywhere, let me unpack what this mean.
The frequency of A4 is 440 Hz.
So when the oboe plays A4 (the tuning note),
it is sending out the frequency of 440 Hz.
The orchestra tune their instruments (or lock onto the frequency) of 440 Hz.
That means every note that is played, is designed to be in correct harmonic relationship to the frequency 440 Hz.
In real world context…this means that most modern pieces of music you’ve ever heard, every pop song, every cinematic soundtrack, every instrumental, every rock concert, every jingle on TV, every emotional montage in your favourite film,
was most likely tuned to 440 Hz.
That’s the global standard.
The factory default.
The pitch and frequency we’ve all been entrained to without question.
On a slightly different note (pun intended), just as the oboe sends out 440 Hz frequency for the orchestra to tune to :
What frequency are you broadcasting?
What energetic signal are you emitting that others unconsciously align with?
In your thoughts, your presence, your creative output,
what are you asking the world to tune itself to?
But…
What if 440 Hz was the wrong choice?
What if we have been tuning to the wrong frequency this whole time?
It is believed by sound healers and some musicians that 432 Hz,
not the global standard of 440 Hz is the frequency that is more naturally resonates with the Earth.
They say when instruments are centred around 432 Hz instead of the standard 440 Hz,
The whole scale becomes more harmonically aligned
And it just feels better.
Some Musicians and sound healers describe 432 Hz music as warmer, softer, and more emotionally resonant. Many say it’s less “in the head” and more “in the body.” While I haven’t found much scientific research and evidence to back up this theory, the concept of 432 Hz centred music as a more natural resonance is a growing modern day concept, and indeed an intriguing one. It is said to decrease blood pressure, some listeners say they feel more grounded and more connected to the earth.
This idea of 432 Hz is gaining popularity in the sound healing, meditation, and vibrational therapy arena and whether physics or placebo, I think it’s something worth exploring in combination with my cinematic compositions.
Since 440 Hz is the default tuning for most instruments and recording software, using 432 Hz requires intentional adjustment by the composer.
As a coffee-infused composing conduit, that is something I am more than happy to experiment with.
The Frequencies Beneath Your Feet
The Earth’s natural electromagnetic resonance, known as the Schumann resonance, vibrates at approximately 7.83 Hz. This very low frequency falls between the alpha and theta brainwaves. That’s the same range the body enters during meditation, lucid dreaming, deep flow, and parasympathetic nervous system repair. That is why some refer to the Schumann resonance as ‘Earth’s heartbeat’.
Here’s the thing:
The Schumann Resonance (7.83 Hz) is a sub-audible frequency, meaning we cannot hear it with out humans ears, but many believe we can connect vibrationally to it. through a simple process called grounding.
This practise makes perfect sense to me and something I am trying to incorporate into my everyday routine. Simply stand on the Earth with bare feet.
It’s like plugging into an electrical socket.
I admit this is very hard to do when the weather is cold and the grass is dewy, but if this is a way to recalibrate our nervous system through receiving the earth’s natural resonance…then why would we not take advantage of this?
For me: the same applies to the 432 Hz theory.
If tuning music this way could help us resonate more naturally, even subtly, then I think it’s worth experimenting with.
In a Nutshell:
432 Hz is not technically part of the original Solfeggio frequencies, but it might be most important frequency.
So why not make the universal standard for tuning 432 Hz, instead of raising it to 440 Hz?
Why not have every piece of music align with the Earth’s natural resonance?
These are great questions! (thank you).
Well, there are two answers to this question.
One that is widely accepted, and the other, well it’s far more juicy.
It’s another conspiracy theory I found.
The Nazi Theory
There is a widely circulated conspiracy theory that this shift to 440 Hz was intentionally orchestrated as a form of subtle energetic control. It suggests that the Nazi minister of propaganda Joseph Goebbels, understood the power of resonance. He believed when music was tuned to 432 Hz, it gave humans a higher consciousness, deeper connection to earth and greater spiritual intuition. The theory says he deliberately altered the frequency by raising it to the now globally accepted 440 Hz, to create imbalance, dissonance in the population, increasing stress, disconnection, and compliance. It appeared to dull the human intuition and spiritual consciousness.
To be clear:
This is just a conspiracy theory.
There is no hard historical evidence to back this up.
It’s just an interesting, intriguing theory but speculative at best.
Why the World Tuned to 440 Hz
The more accepted explanation is that throughout the 19th and early 20th century there was no such thing as global pitch standard. The tuning note, A4, would range from 370 Hz to 450 Hz and beyond. Every country and orchestra had their own standard frequency to tune. This was anarchy for musicians as it produced confusion and a logistics nightmare throughout global orchestra.
To eliminate this chaos, A decision was made in the 1950s by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) to adopt A4 as 440 Hz.
The Globally standardised tuning reference has been 440 Hz ever since.
Why the Hell Have I Said All This?
As a composer, I want my music to take people on an emotional, cinematic, healing journey not just through story, but through resonance. I want to create music that stirs something deep in your soul, while working subtly on your nervous system, your body, your mind.
My compositions can tell a powerful emotional story through cinematic sound, but also carry intentional healing through embedding:
Solfeggio frequencies
Natural resonance
Based in 432 Hz (where possible)
I want my music to be more then entertainment.
I want to use music as medicine.
We are, as vibrational beings, locking on to frequencies on a daily basis.
Why wouldn’t we want those frequencies to support healing, health, and wholeness?
Why are we unconsciously compromising our resonance?
I want to explore these questions.
As I said, I’m a curious caffeine-infused composing conduit.
So best turn on the coffee machine, cause I have some curiosity to follow.
What if the real you isn’t lost but just out of tune?
Frequencies like the Solfeggio tones or Schumann harmonics aren’t tools, they’re vibration, disguised as beautiful songs.
When you choose to align with them, your body, mind, and soul remember.
This is what our ancestors knew.
Somewhere along the anthropological line we forgot their wisdom,
but I think it’s time we remembered.
It’s time we remember who we are.
It all starts with being intentional and aware of the frequencies we surround ourselves with.
My next question is:
If there are healthy, healing frequencies then wouldn’t it make sense that there are harmful ones too?
A little bit of the ol’ ying and yang.
That’s a rabbit hole we are going down in another blog.
But first…a snack.
We are not broken.
We are just out of tune.
Perhaps because we’ve been taught to tune to the wrong frequency.
It’s time we looked after our instrument.
It’s time we took our own tuning seriously.
Let us heal this world, one beautiful note as a time.
Absolutely! I resonate with your essay. My healing meditations incorporate chakra frequencies, which, as an elder, may be extending my life and independence. When I listen to 432 Hz, I am sometimes reminded of the tone that the TV used to play at night, back in the day, when programs ended from midnight to morning, and the screen went black. Thanks!
Deeply unsettling but worth a read …
